Arrghh, you got me, we've two servers, one for the testing environment, the other for productional use. Yesterday i've tested rev. 36 on testing server, was pleased with the result, checked out rev 36 on productional server and forgot to copy the backend to webservers dir. Updated now and will try again, sorry for the inconvenience.

UPDATE: ALL MESSAGES WERE SYNCED USING REV. 36

    @liverpoolfcfan: i owe you a beer

Default new problem with "NokiaMfeFix" and my E71

    Hello!
If you send messages from other applications, like taking a photo and send them via email, or send a template via email, the mail does not get sent (all seems to be work correctly, but this email is definitly not sent and is not in your zimbra sent-box).

debug of an email that was sent correctly:
05/31/10 09:03:35 [10567] New sender using [displayName] is ["Max Mustermann" ]
    05/31/10 09:03:35 [10567] rfc822 Before: From: "domain" <max.mustermann@domain.de>
    To: tester@domain.de
    Subject: test2

debug of an email that was sent by an other application:
05/31/10 08:41:26 [7647] New sender using [displayName] is ["Max Mustermann" ]
    05/31/10 08:41:26 [7647] rfc822 Before: From:
    To: tester@domain.de
    Subject: test1

I think the incomplete "From"-tag is the problem.

Can you tell me the exact sequence of steps you took to reproduce. I will try to reproduce/debug it when I get to my office.

If you turn off the NOKIA_MFE... settings (set then to false) does the email come through ?

Also, can you check your zimbra log files to see if maybe the antispam has quarantined or discarded the email due to bad headers or an inability to recognize the sender.

    Made some tests today:

    What works:
    - Send email with text
    - Receive email with text
    - Receive email with attachment
    - Sync contacts both ways
    - Sync appointments without invitation from zimbra
    - Push

    What does not works:
    - Send email with attachment (Attachment was a jpg-file, file was corrupt when receiving it on the other machine)
    - Sync appointments with invitation from zimbra
    - Sync appointments to zimbra (sync is working, but every sync a new entry is generated on zimbra, so I have to same appointment 10000 times.)

Will try to debug the appointment problem with invitation this weekend, maybe I find something.

    Default Sync issues

    Hi All,

We've started implementing this but have run into a strange issue.

I've first tested zpush on my own user, I have a very small amount of email, not much on my calendar, and a few hundred contacts.

Sync works perfectly on my account.

However I've then tried to add a couple of other accounts, with no luck so far.

One has a huge amount of mail, and many (40+) subfolders, and a lot of calendar items. when syncing this account
    1) no mail is received, even though device reports successful sync
    2) Calendar reports a sync issue
    3) Contacts sync fine.

I've tried playing with the script limits on PHP (up to 10 min timeouts) and a few other php.ini modifications, but I've had no luck getting these other accounts to sync, while through it all mine work flawlessly.

Can you offer any insight on whether my first hunch is correct and the quantity of data is potentially the issue? or am I likely to be missing something else here. Let me know what details I can provide to assist, currently using rev 36

Some people have reported issues with complex Calendar items. And, there are some issues with very large email attachments. But, just quantity of emails and/or folders should not make too much difference. I have probably 50 email folders, including some shared ones, on my system and they sync just fine.

    Some things to start with:
    1. What phone types are you using ? Yours, your colleagues ?
    2. What memory_limit is set in php.ini - should be at least 128M ?
    3. Are you using default ZIMBRA settings in config.php - or are you also using user configuration XML files ? If config files, can you post a sample (remember to enclose in CODE tags using the # button above editor)
    4. For the problem accounts, can you try sync'ing one thing at a time. So Contacts first. If that works, add email. If that works, add calendar, etc.
If something fails along the way, turn up debug logging, and try to identify the Contact/Email/Appointment that is breaking.

To turn up debugging you need to:
    cd /[path to www]/z-push
    touch debug.txt
    chmod 777 debug.txt
then edit wbxml.php and change the value in define('WBXML_DEBUG', false) to true

    To turn off debugging again.
    cd /[path to www]/z-push
edit wbxml.php and change the value in define('WBXML_DEBUG', true) to false
    rename or delete debug.txt
