    Default Problem with z-push and Zimbra Community Version 7.0.1

    Hi, I'm new here and would like to ask about z-push zimbra backend.
    I've installed Z-Push 1.5.12 and Zimbra Backend 53 for a Zimbra Server Version 7.0.1.
    Zimbra server is running on Ubuntu 8.04 Machine.
    Z-Push and Backend run on Ubuntu 12.04 Machine with Apache2 and php 5.3 running on it.
    Managed to install the Z-Push and Backend for Zimbra, also connects to Zimbra Server I guess because over every Webbrowser i could manage to find i could log in. Just right username and password combination is working to get to the error message about GET requests not allowed.
    However when I try to connect my HTC Smartphone I can't manage to login. It allways says there is a problem with authentification.
    I've managed to fix all problems that appeared in the debug.txt file, and also installed allready a .htaccess file with the PHP flags that are needed by Z-Push in the root directory of Z-Push, which eliminated the error messages on apache log. anybody got an idea what i could be missing? for sure i did an Alias for Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync directing to the z-push www directory and even made chmod -R 777 on the z-push directory. Btw. z-push "store" folder is still empty as well as the "zimbra" directory for the user XML files.

    Would aprecciate a fast answer on this.

    Thanks,
    I. Klein

    If you literally did this - then this is most likely your problem. For z-push the alias needs to point to the index.php file - not to the directory.

    This is what i get in the debug.txt file when trying to log in from android device. In case that helps :

    This line
    09/24/12 15:22:51 [15039] [isai] END Setup { 16 Folders Loaded }
    indicates that it is successfully reading from the zimbra server - so likely the problem is up front in z-push itself.

    What do you have for the config.php settings ...

    // Device Provisioning
    define('PROVISIONING', true);

    // This option allows the 'loose enforcement' of the provisioning policies for older
    // devices which don't support provisioning (like WM 5 and HTC Android Mail) - dw2412 contribution
    // false (default) - Enforce provisioning for all devices
    // true - allow older devices, but enforce policies on devices which support it
    define('LOOSE_PROVISIONING', false);

    Try with PROVISIONING set to false

    OR

    PROVISIONING set to true with LOOSE_PROVISIONING set to true also.

    Ok, problem solved thanks to liverpoolfcfan. He tried to fix the problem with me on private yesterday, and at the end mentioned that it should be a problem with Apache configuration. That was the point where i realized it could be the pagespeed mod i've installed on that apache installation, which does compression for the sites served, for website loading time performance enhancement. Maybe what could be the bottom line of this then -> try to install it on a seperated best case standardized apache installation.
