Re: February 2020 Zeta Alliance Weekly Call Summaries

Hi Randy, Thanks so much for summarizing and sorry I couldn't make today's call (was on the road traveling...). Question about Zimbra Drive... There is a ZeXtras Drive app in the iOS App Store. I downloaded and installed it, and it seems to work just fine with Zimbra Drive (meaning, NOT Open Drive)....

Re: Issue after upgrading to 8.8.15

Thanks. Does this concern all external datasources, including pop3/imap, or only the HTTP based ones like CalDAV ? Dunno. We just wanted it to stop, so we used bulk provisioning to increase the polling interval equally for all accounts. As I understood it, the issue happens when too many polling ha...

Re: Issue after upgrading to 8.8.15

We and one of our customers had this issue. In our cases, the symptoms were that web client sessions generated a "Server Error 500" for the users, but that IMAP and other non web-ui access methods continued to function. Zimbra Support have identified the root cause and given us a bug numb...

Re: Need report of users who have not logged in prior to 6 months ago and are also active

Accounts that use SASL-Auth (i.e. port 587 SMTP-Auth) are not logged in to the web client.

Hope that helps,
Mark

Re: CVE-2019-9670 being actively exploited

The version check script checks for new versions, so if Synacor released an 8.8.16 version of Zimbra, the version check script would notify you. Patches are as you know repo-based, and Zimbra has committed to releasing Patches on a monthly schedule. So apt-get update && apt list —upgradable ...

Re: After installation with no error, amavisd is not running

I just reproduced this on Ubuntu 18, Zimbra 8.8.15 Patch 6 + Hotfix. The issue is due to having removed IPv6 from the Ubuntu 18.04 server using the Ubuntu 16.04 method. It used to be that adding the following lines to the bottom of /etc/sysctl.conf was enough. And it was, for 16.04. But not necessar...

Ah! When you said “CloudDNS” I thought you meant CloudMark!

Re: SA rule updates with sha1 checksums to stop on March 1, 2020

Hi Jim,

Thanks very much for this.

8.8.15 Patch 4 ships with SpamAssassin 3.4.1.

Are you running Network Edition and if so can you open a support case with Zimbra?

Let me know?

All the best,
Mark

Re: Postscreen Whitelist IP address

Try changing your forwarders to someone other than CloudMark. CloudMark's servers I have found cause issues when using their DNS for anti-spam. One of my customers got a call from one of his blacklist providers that their daily query volume had tripled (and that the bill was going to need to be incr...
