Re: SPF, Forwarding and SRS, the evil three :/

at first the WAD made sense but thinking a bit more about it I still think it doesn't. Here's an example, let's assume someone has a distribution list (accounting@example.com) and want's all mails going to account forwarded to two other email addresses, one of them maybe being some archiving stuff ...

Re: Force auth for internal users

Please run: zmprov gs `zmhostname` zimbraMtaMyNetworks and check that the IP address of the device from which you are running your telnet tests is or is not listed in the networks above. By definition, Zimbra is an open relay for any device listed in zimbraMtaMyNetworks. This is working as designed ...

Re: Caution With Unattended Upgrades

Bill, Yes, disabling the Zimbra repo is another option, so maybe just a personal preference. I can run for example: apt-get update; apt list --upgradable and then just not upgrade any zimbra packages if I need to do a manual upgrade. Zimbra's updated packages do not yet restart their own dependent s...

Re: Migration Options

So, just some clarification on the uid, gid and Zimbra ID comments above... Side by side migrations are absolutely supported by Zimbra using the ZeXtras Trial download on the old Network Edition Server to migrate to a new a Network Edition server (which already includes the ZeXtras Suite, rebranded ...

Re: Migration Options

I get A+ on the Qualys SSL labs test with just a few minor tweaks no problem.

As re HSM volumes, I recall that at one point there was an issue with this, but that it had been fixed. Of the migrations I’ve done this year, none have had HSM issues.

Re: Stopping zimlet webapp... takes 10-15 minutes

FWIW I always remove every trace of IPv6 before deploying Zimbra on an operating system. When IPv6 is ubiquitous, I'll remove every trace of IPv4 before deploying Zimbra on an operating system. In my experience, Zimbra works well on either an IPv4 OR an IPv6 system, but I have always found "som...

Re: Zimbra for Ubuntu 18.04 ?

I'll speculate that we will never see (nor is there a need for IMHO) Ubuntu 18.04 binaries of Zimbra 8.8.x.

Why? Because Ubuntu 16.04 is supported for a few months longer than ZCS 8.8. Both end of life around the same time.

All the best,

Re: zimbra allow relay from specific host/network

You'll need to give us the unobfuscated output of:

Code: Select all

zmprov gs `zmhostname` zimbraMtaMyNetworks

as well as the IP address of the host you want to allow to relay, for us to be able to help.

Regards,
Mark

Re: Stopping zimlet webapp... takes 10-15 minutes

Both files are the same except for 2 things, that the order of the line items are different and the value of innodb_buffer_pool_size is different; 4163895296 for the server with the delay and 2511535718 for the server that is fine. The 4163895296 value was given to me by Zimbra support when I sent ...
