Re: Zimbra 7 TLS 1.2 Support

We have a customer, where they are on Zimbra 7 , and are using TLS 1.0 connection. We want to upgrade the TLS version to at least 1.2. Please let me know, if we can do that, and what steps I need to perform for the same. Thanks Zimbra 7 is so far past end of life it is not even listed in Zimbra's c...

Re: Server Monitoring problem

If running "zmcontrol status" as the zimbra user from the command prompt shows everything as running, then the red "X's" in the Home > Monitor page of the Admin Console almost always means you need to set up Zimbra's syslogging correctly. The Installation Guide has some post-inst...

Re: Network Edition 8.8.10 Upgrade - Backups "Bug"

Just an update from the Support Case I opened on this... Zimbra were aware of this bug and initially told me they thought the bug had been corrected in 8.8.10. I pointed out that I had experienced the bug on two separate installs. I also pointed out that others on the forums had reported this same p...

Re: Webmail authenticate via 3rd party SAML

Yes you're right Mark, but the readme is very light. For example does it support WAYF ? Is it multi domain ? Seems to be unclear. I agree on the lightness of the documentation, and I regret that I am not a SAML expert so I cannot answer your question. I do know that Zimbra Support has assisted with...

Re: Webmail authenticate via 3rd party SAML

Zimbra ships with saml middleware for two providers.

There are READMEs in the file system along with the appropriate jar files.

There is also a very dated wiki that describes the SAML authentication process in Zimbra.

Thank you for your help Good to You Mz This is what I got back this morning from Zimbra Support: Hello, After a close investigation, we have identified that your case ha...

Re: Sizing of innodb_buffer_pool_size

Hi guys! I've historically sized the innodb_buffer_pool_size according to du -sh of the /opt/zimbra/db/data. But the thing is that when I run "top", I've never seen the mysql process using significatly more memory than the one reported by mysqltunner. So I truly think that my approach is ...

Re: About the 8.8.10 version bug

I see the same thing, Outlook for Mac 2016 using EWS.

I'll open a Support Case and report back.

Thanks for posting this,
Mark

Re: Sizing of innodb_buffer_pool_size

Hi David, If I have a healthy mailbox server getting low on space, I typically just add another primary volume and make the new volume current; especially in a SAN-backed environment. And very nice to see that the optimize completed so quickly, thank you! But really the more important question for m...

Re: Sizing of innodb_buffer_pool_size

Not sure this is a cause for worry. Take a look at: https://mariadb.com/kb/en/library/defragmenting-innodb-tablespaces/ https://mariadb.org/defragmenting-unused-space-on-innodb-tablespace/ As I understand it, if you have a mailbox server with 5,000 mailboxes and you delete 3,000 mailboxes, the mboxg...
