I believe there is some serious bugs with Zimbra Desktop, because I notice that all users who are complaining slow AJAX web clients are all ZD users. When restoring their accounts from backup, there is no such issues anymore. See this: viewtopic.php?t=56551&start=10

I was instructed by Zimbra Support to upgrade to 8.6 first instead of 8.7.x directly because the upgrade failed immediately with a direct jump from 8.0.9 to 8.7.x. So the recommendation is either not to upgrade Zimbra to 8.7.x for now if we are already on Ubuntu 14 and above? Or retain Ubuntu at version 12 if we want to upgrade to Zimbra 8.7.x? FYI, I'm currently still running Zimbra 8.0.9 on Ubuntu 10. And have successfully upgrade to Zimbra 8.6 on Ubuntu 12 ...

To avoid this issue, is it better to upgrade Ubuntu to the latest version with Zimbra 8.6 before upgrading Zimbra to 8.7.x?

One of our users is having similar issue. Ajax mode load forever unless switch to standard mode. But when I restore the same account, it doesn't has this problem. User on Zimbra Desktop 7.3 now feedback that his webmail on Chrome can no longer login unless he switch to standard HTML version. Even so, it's not responsive at all. I hope this has nothing to do with Zimbra Desktop issue.
