Re: Spam Anonymous TLS connection established from unknown

So I'm very confused. So am I by your comments. How can you be seeing a 'brute force attack' on your port 7073 if it's not exposed to the internet? Have you checked if there's any infected machines on your lo cal network? Have you also checked to see if your Zimbra server has been compromised (poss...

Re: Spam Anonymous TLS connection established from unknown

That's fine but what you're asking about is attempted connections to port 7073 - that is the admin port and should never be exposed on the internet. The only port(s) you need to expose are port 25 and any that are required for your user to get their email. all the rest should be blocked for your Zim...

Re: Spam Anonymous TLS connection established from unknown

Port 7073 should not be accessible via the internet, if you really need to do any admin task then use a VPN then connect to port 7073 'locally'. For brute force attacks you should look at fail2ban (search the forums for details).

Re: Move to new new server after hack

Install the latest version of ZCS on a new server then use the ZeXtras Migration Tool to move everything to a new server and, yes, it really is that good. If you're behind a firewall or nat router then I'd suggest you b lock off internet access (inbound and outbound) to the old server while you do t...

Re: Sending and receiving mail

What does this post have to do with Zimbra Desktop which is the forum in which you've posted? I'll move this to the correct forum. First thing to mention, the reason you're admin didn't receive the mail is that you are using the wrong domain name, it should be: admin@wantedstanding.com What you've u...

external emails are not arriving You're not actually giving much useful information with which someone might be able to h help. What steps have you taken to diagnose your problem and to check your ZCS server is set-up correctly with all the required pre-requisites? What do you mean by "not wor...

Re: More expensive migrations, with less functionality

Hi Everyone -- audriga's posts were indeed awaiting intervention from the Zimbra end. Unfortunately, it took several weeks for the issue to be addressed. They were indeed trying to respond since April. Very sorry for the delay and any confusion. Thanks! Gayle Might it not have been of some use to a...

I'm afraid there's no sign of any earlier posts other than the ones you've posted today (22nd May), I don't know what happened to them and I certainly didn't see them.

audriga wrote:(sorry for the late post, this answer somehow got stuck in forum moderation)
It was in moderation for seven minutes, hardly the end of the world and the reason for that is that the forum anti-spam system thinks you may be a spammer.

Re: Email Activity During Maintinence

If a mail server (any mail server) can't deliver an email for whatever reason it will try again up-to a specified number of times (defined by teh sending server) , if it can't deliver it then it will return the mail to the sender with an 'undelivered' message. If you want a more detailed or technica...
