Rspamd has an arc signing module, you could consider using that as a replacement for the current ZCS ant-spam system.

You haven't really given many details about the spam that you're receiving and what results they get from your current anti-spam settings and whether you're using any RBLs. You could take a look at rspamd - see my sig for details.

Sorry if I misunderstood your last question. The answer is yes, you can move to a multi-server set-up after the initial install but if you are only going to run a small server I don't really see the point of splitting the roles for such a small number of users. You cannot remove the zimbra LDAP as it's used for more than just user authentication. You can at any time add external authentication if you want, read the wiki article (or the product documentation) on the subject for detailed information.

A single-server installation (depending on the h/w resources) would be sufficent fot thousands of users, guess what I'd recommend? :)

You should read the Administration Guide, it has a description of a multi-server setup in there.
