Install fails becuase MX record not found...

I am using a service provider for custom DNS support, therefore my domain name, A, CNAME, and MX records are defined on their site. I do not have a DNS Server locally. The installation requests a different mail server domain name becuase it does not find the MX record for the current Domain. I have ...

zimbra as default client on linux instead of evolution

Is this something others are interested in doing. If so, will it be in a future release for both versions or just the network version of zimbra? If not, is this something that can be done via revising code or is this a new code implementation all together?

zimbra as default client on linux instead of evolution

How do I get zimbra as the default client when a user selects an e-mail link address while in their browser. Can this only be done from a linux desktop or can you do it from a windows desktop also. Please advise. Thanks.

Removing Zimbra on Port 80

There seems to be other places that need to have port 80 changed. I guess it would be easier to change your webserver port to something else rather than zimbra port. When i try to login to my mail account through the web I get an athurorization error because something is looking for port 80.

Removing Zimbra on Port 80

Both services were working find until I made the port changes, therefore I didn't try anything else until someone told me the port change wsn't the problem. I guess based on your comments, the port change isn't the problem so I will look at the other posts concerning mta and anitspam. Th...

Can not send email!

I fixed the problem by going into the postfix.cf file and explicitly setting the hostname value to my FQDN, "mailhost.bhburgis.com". Since my linux box hostname is mailhost it seems if though that gethostname was not getting the FQDN. Now I can send mail off the server but still cannot rec...
