No startup script on fresh 3.1.1 install CentOS4

I seem to remember on previous install of Zimbra there was a sysv startup script where I could use chkconfig to have it set to startup automatically and could control all the zimbra services with service zimbra {start|stop}. After my 3.1.1 install on CentOS 4 everything seems to be working well. But...

Multiple forwarders per address or multiple aliases?

What I am trying to do:I want to have my admin@ account forward to a number of people and not actually store any email. It also has a number of aliases (noc@, root@, postmaster@). But I cannot figure out how to create multiple forwarders per account. So I created admin as a distribution list to add t...

Browser saved login credential support

I don't know if it is by design or not. But normally on sites with a suername and password field I can have Firefox save login information. When using the User or Admin login pages Firefox nor IE ask me if I want to save passwords. Is this a security feature by design?I sometimes like to save lo...

Initializing ldap...FAILED (512)?

Well the /etc/hosts file did NOT work for me. Even adding the IP address of the domain to the machine did not work. May have been some fluke or something. I am installing a new CentOS 4.2 machine today and will try a fresh 3.0.1 install again.Seemed odd that the 3.0.0 fresh install on the same machi...

Initializing ldap...FAILED (512)?

Fresh install. I'm telnetting to the IP on the localhost. The IP is on the adapter with a 255.255.255.255 subnet mask. Pretty sure it's routing correct because I ping it at 0 - 1ms.Heres something else strange. The 3.0.0 GA install worked flawlessly. No problem at all.Not sure what's goi...

On a similar machine I was able to get 3.0.0 to work so I am going to go back to the previous release and try that just for the ...

Initializing ldap...FAILED (512)?

Super fast response,I think i see a problem now, heres what those commands give (stripping my domain and real ip):[zimbra@mail ~]$ host `hostname` mail.mydomain.com has address xx.xxx.xxx.225 [zimbra@mail ~]$ ps auxww | grep slapd zimbra 15007 0.2 0.9 23436 4700 ?
