Restore account from backups without deleting existing mail?

Flags make sense...
We are working with support on this. They've suggested we restore to the earliest full backup we have and pass on the -br and --skipdelete - It LOOKS like it does what we need, but we are verifying this is the case. Hoping someone else would chime in too...

Restore account from backups without deleting existing mail?

[quote]I'M NOT SURE HOW THIS CAN BE DONE WITHOUT RESTORING MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS. THE BEST I CAN GUESS WHICH WOULD BE SCRIPTABLLE (THOUGH MAYBE NOT ELEGANT) WOULD BE TO SOMETHING LIKE THIS: RESTORE ONE ACCOUNT (WITH -PRE AND -CA) EXPORT THE CONTENTS OF THAT ACCOUNT (ZMMAILBOX -Z -M RESTORED-ACCOUNT@...

Restore account from backups without deleting existing mail?

So we need to restore everything we got from backups for a particular account for a legal issue. My thoughts were to do restores from every backup we have (fulls and incremental), but to put everything under the same account. This would basically restore every email we have a copy of (we will not be...

LDAPsearch on an LDAP backup?

We were looking into doing some searches for inactive accounts, however, at the same time, we were working on gathering statistics for some mail migration and this in a sense updated all the last login times. So I have the LDAP backups, and was trying to figure out a way to do ldapsearches on a backu...

External MTA relay for specific domains?

Ok - so what it seems I need is to add a transport map. However, would this take precedence over the relayhost entry or do I need to replace this with the transport map?On sendmail, I would simply have a mailertable such as:domain.com [xx.xx.xx.xx] domain2.com [yy.yy.yy.yy] . [zz.zz.zz.zz]whereas th...

External MTA relay for specific domains?

We recently enabled external MTA relay for our installation to point to an external appliance. The problem is we realize we do need to be able to relay differently for specific domains.I know how to do this with sendmail via mailertable - ie, set up individual delivery points, and a default one for ...

Any recent Zimbra to Google Apps migrations?

[quote user="AndyCDoyle"]TIA, we've moved a number of customers from Zimbra to Google Apps using MigrationWiz. Take a look at that tool and see what you think. We also have standard migration procedures to ensure that data the tool doesn't migrate is migrated manually if you're ...

Spam, bot attacks - is it time to get an antispam appliance?

[quote user="pointer"]If you're still running the version of Zimbra in your signature, don't use the version of policyd that ships with it.There's a bug in the connection code that delays messages sent by 1 second for each recipient. I think this was fixed in 7.2.2 (see the bug...

Spam, bot attacks - is it time to get an antispam appliance?

We've been hammered recently with accounts getting compromised and using submission port to spam out. We do have appliance type service for incoming mail but phishing attempts still come in. And I still have an 'in-between' amavisd/spamassassin setup in between the applicance and zimbra....
