Choosing Zimbra over gmail and google apps?

The terms of Service I understand spell out that Google can search through the stored content and use it as they see needed.
Can't seem to find the paid service TOS online.

Choosing Zimbra over gmail and google apps?

I can see the value in running your own service and being able to make changes to the code, add-ons like zimlets.

Staying with a particular version.

Being able to access the data directly, control over availability and response time.
Integration with other products like Alfresco?

Trying to get Thunderbird 3 to act as a client to our zimbra 6.0.5 64bit install. Followed the settings on the wiki(though they are for thunderbird 2) but it acts like the password is incorrect and thunderbird is unable to download messages. (log on to server failed message). I've tried changing...

Is their another way to share file links?

notebook or something?
It would make more sense to add the link feature to the attachment button, so you can browse to get the correct path and file name.
Can this be integrated with office so you can do a "send to".

Our users like to email links to documents from a shared network drive. From outlook they select attachment then find the file, select hyperlink.
