replay_pid log files
Hi, My /opt/zimbra contains 23 files named replay_pid*.log. What is the purpose of these files? Can these files be deleted or are they of any significance to the zimbra configuration? I currently run Zimbra 8.8.15_P12 (8.8.15.GA.3869.UBUNTU18.64) -rw-r----- 1 zimbra zimbra 188487 Aug 13 2019 replay_...

How to trace message delete operations from IMAP clients?
Hi, A user of my server regularly faces issues when deleting messages from her iPad not being synced to the server. Interestingly, it only affects some delete operations. So new messages, read/unread marker changes are always reflected correctly. - She also uses an iPhone to connect to the Zimbra se...

Re: [Solved] zmmailboxdctl wont start
Thanks! I had a similar issue. Your analysis helped me to track it down to the root cause: In my case, port 80 was busy already. It turned out that the nginx service has been activated to start automatically. As a consequence, when Zimbra's Nginx service tried to initiate, port 80 was taken and zimb...

Re: Can not login to Ajax web client
I had the same issue that iPad users did not see content of the inbox anymore using the safari browser. After emptying the jetty work directory, the problem is fixed.

logger and logswatch stop in 8.8.15
On my 8.8.15 server (Ubuntu 16.04) zmlogswatchctl and logger often stop working. After this error, I can start both processes using zmswatchctl start and zmlogswatchctl start - However, the process soon stops again. The log files show the following errors. zmlogswatch.out Can't locate Date/Parse.pm ...

Issue after upgrade to 8.8.15 with zmfixperms
Hi, July 26, I upgraded from 8.8.11 to 8.8.15 on Ubuntu 16.04. The installation went well. All services worked fine after I performed the upgrade. 2 days later, I noticed that the zmmailboxdmgr service was down. I restarted Zimbra. A few days later, Zimbra was down again. Most times, the zmmailboxdm...

Re: Blocking of IP addresses trying to login
Great hint. Fail2ban looks very promising. I'll give it a try.

Blocking of IP addresses trying to login
I regularly face situations where some accounts change into a lockout mode due to external servers trying to login guessing passwords. While the lockout prevents the attacker to run many password attempts, the affected user is frustrated as he is not able to login anymore until his account is unlock...

Account lockout
Since a couple of weeks, one of my accounts regularly gets locked out. This is what I find in the logfiles (username, hostname and IP address obfuscated): content of audit.log: 2018-11-22 08:59:47,848 INFO [qtp66233253-35672:https:https://myserver.com:7073/service/admin/soap/] [name=user@myserver.co...

18.04.1 is out since July 25, 2018 - it would be great if this LTS version will become supported soon
