Re: Zimbra 9 - FOSS

For anyone having similar issues: [javac] The -source switch defaults to 9 in JDK 9. [javac] If you specify -target 1.8 you now must also specify -source 1.8. [javac] Ant will implicitly add -source 1.8 for you. Please change your build file. [javac] warning: [options] bootstrap class path not set i...

Re: Zimbra 9 - FOSS

The sudo process also works now: ========================================================================================================= DEPLOYING ARTIFACTS #: pwd=/home/git/zimbra #: mkdir -p /home/git/zimbra/BUILDS/UBUNTU18_64-KEPLER-900-20201016173035-FOSS-0001/archives Running [mkdir -p /home/...

Re: Zimbra 9 - FOSS

Nope. It's created by the zm-build process. Which is weird. I'll try to figure out what is going on, as it's creating fine at my end, so I don't know why it's not doing it for you. aptitude search ivy p elpa-ivy - generic completion mechanism for Emacs p elpa-ivy-hydra - additional key bindings for ...

Re: Zimbra 9 - FOSS

Can you copy this command and paste at the console, as it will tell me if all the dependencies installed: for pkg in software-properties-common openjdk-8-jdk ant ant-optional ant-contrib ruby git maven build-essential debhelper ; do dpkg -l $pkg | grep $pkg ; done it should return something like thi...

Re: Zimbra 9 - FOSS

Did you pull my recent changes for the sudo fix I did before attempting again? Using: sudo su ./02-build-zimbra.sh works, because then everything is being done as the root user, so if you didn't do this you can try it. The new changes I made fixed some issues when running the scripts as a regular us...

Re: Zimbra 9 - FOSS

I've just had to fix the scripts to work properly with sudo, so if you did a git clone, first do a git pull command to get the latest changes. You could do this: sudo su ./02-build-zimbra.sh that way you'll be at root user already and will simplify things if sudo not working yet. I'm just testing th...

Re: Zimbra 9 - FOSS

You can run the scripts as root without using sudo. If you are a regular user, the scripts will do sudo automatically anyway. So it might be because of this.

Re: Zimbra 9 - FOSS

Hi @alex70 The script automates all the manual steps you would have to complete using the zm-build github. So it makes things really easy. So the steps would be: 1. Add your SSH key to your github profile. 2. Run 01-build-deps.sh which will install the required dependencies. The script has been code...

Re: Zimbra 9 - FOSS

In case anyone is interested, I've created a couple of scripts to help automate this. The only manual thing is the SSH key creation, as this needs to be added to the users' github profile. The scripts can be found here: https://github.com/ianw1974/zimbra-build-scripts The first script installs the d...
