My Windows Host is not NAT'd ... its on public IP.... from this host to the VMWare VM is the NAT and I am running port forwarding instead of inbuilt ICS one for all Zimbra ports....When I try setup CalDav...I can see the connection open on 443 and disconnect a couple of seconds later....and noth...

ZCS 7 Beta3 on VMWare with Windows 2008 R2 as Host

My Setup :Host is running Windows 2008 Web R2 with VMWare Server installed on it. The guest machine for Zimbra is Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit. SSL is commercial RapidSSL.For some reason bridge networking only allowed everything external to reach the guest but from the guest I could only reach the host...not...

You might want to check connectivity between the different instances using ping and telnet. Seems like connectivity issue.

Please post some log information about the errors you are seing. Iptables works just fine with me. Use the ports and allow TCP destination ACCEPT on them.

Couple of advices...
(1) Check your DNS records for the domain

(2) Since you cannot telnet on port 389 it means probably port 389 is blocked by a firewall. Please check on this on your ldap machine.

The wiki you were looking at was probably the on which explains how to get Zimbra and Apache to work together on same ports.
Zimbra already has a built in webserver which handles your webmail. This can be configured to work via http/https or both, using the wiki uxbod mentioned above.
