[SOLVED] Yet Another Backup Script for Community Version

Thanks Blason.
Actually the crontab file is saved by the backup script in /opt/zimbra as crontab.org
So you can also try: crontab -u zimbra /opt/zimbra/crontab.org

[SOLVED] Yet Another Backup Script for Community Version

I had something very strange recently on my 7.2.5 server: my zimbra crontab disappeared regularly. What happened is that when this script stops Zimbra, if there is an error, the script is stopped. And before stopping Zimbra, the script disables zimbra cron. So if like me you have an errror message w...

Freshclam not running and cron disappearing.

Replying to my own thread. I am making a bit of progress. I found the reason for my disappearing crontab: I use the backup script found here: This">http://www.zimbra.com/forums/administrators/15275-solved-yet-another-backup-script-community-version.htmlThis script, when backing-up your Zimbra d...

Freshclam not running and cron disappearing.

Hi all, We were running Zimbra 7.2.3 on an old Ubuntu 8.04 32 bits. We recently migrated directly to Ubuntu 10.04 64 bits, without going through 8.04 64 bits. Everything works fine, but I have the following 2 problems: 1 - freshclam stops running every now and then - every day. The error message I h...

[SOLVED] ZImbra 6.0.4 - server migration unsuccessful

Apparently, when copying files from the old server to the new server, the mysql file my.cnf got a 777 file permission, which prevented mysql from starting.
Chmod this file to 644 allowed mysql to start, and the migration to work.
I hope this will help...

JP.

ZD 2 pst import

I read somewhere that Zimbra Desktop 2 will have the possibility to import pst files.
Is this functionality already implemented in the beta available today?
Cheers,
JP.

[SOLVED] ZImbra 6.0.4 - server migration unsuccessful

Dear Phoenix, Thanks a lot for your reply. On both machines I use Ubuntu 8.04 LTS and Zimbra OSS 6.0.4On the server we currently use, I first installed ZCS OSS 6.0.3 then upgrade to 6.0.4. Should I do the same on the new server? I don't seem to have DNS issues. The current server uses Bind, conf...

[SOLVED] ZImbra 6.0.4 - server migration unsuccessful

Hello there, I installed an Ubuntu 8.04 / ZCS OSS 6.0.4 a few weeks ago, which is now our main email server. I plan to move our current setup to an other machine. I've followed 2 migration methods, one found in the Wiki, the second one in the Administrators Power Tips, but none of them worked: W...
