Re: Hardware Recommendation for Environment with 250 Users

NVMe SSDs are quite fast now so that seems like a good option to me

Re: Z-Push Problems on ZCS 8.8.x?

We are using z-push with zimbra OSS 8.8.15 with no problems. There were no z-push config changes coming from zimbra 8.6. Using latest z-push from repositories and latest zimbra backend. Ping me if you run into any issues and I will try to help. Go https://imanudin.net/2019/08/30/exchang ... e-editi...

Z-Push Problems on ZCS 8.8.x?

Hello,

I would like to upgrade from ZCS 8.7 to 8.8.15 but heard that there may be some issues using Z-Push with ZCS 8.8.x; has anyone successfully used Z-Push with this new version of Zimbra and if so are there are specific configuration settings or tips?

Thanks!

Re: Hardware Recommendation for Environment with 250 Users

Hello Alexander,

I would recommend putting /opt/zimbra on fast disks to help mitigate the LockFailedException errors, preferably NVMe SSDs if possible.

Add List-ID to distribution list headers?

RFC2919 discusses the List-ID header field for distribution lists: This document presents a header field which will provide an identifier for an e-mail distribution list. This header SHOULD be included on all messages distributed by the list (including command responses to individual users), and on...

Re: ZCS 8.0.6 to 8.7.0 on Ubuntu 12.04 fails with MySQL error - Table 'mboxgroup22/#sql-ib6597-150967725' already exists

I had the same issue on ubunut12.04 to update version 8.7.3 My solution was update as first to 8.6.0 (with last version mysql) and after successfully update to finally version. That works for me without mysql errors. In 8.6.0 there is the same perl update script /opt/zimbra/libexec/scripts/migrate2...

Use the repository to upgrade?

I am running ZCS 8.7.0 open-source edition on Ubuntu 14.04. I would like to upgrade to ZCS 8.7.2, but the upgrade documentation seems to just say to download the new tarball and run ./install.sh. I enabled the repositories when I did the ZCS 8.7.0 install, so why can't I simply apt-get update &&...

Re: Scope of data in redologs

Yes, but is this the contents of MariaDB + /opt/zimbra/store + LDAP changes? Or only some of these?

Scope of data in redologs

What exactly is the scope of data contained in the redologs? Does it contain changes to the store, mysql, and LDAP? IF I were to stop zimbra at night, rsync /opt/zimbra to another server, and then save off a copy of /opt/zimbra/redolog during the day while zimbra is running, could I replay the redol...

Zimbra MariaDB Backups Using Xtrabackup

I'm working on a hot backup solution for ZCS OSE based on this Zimbra Wiki page . My understanding of the structure of /opt/zimbra is that there are the following types of data, with corresponding hot backup options: ⋅ db/data - mysql database (Percona XtraBackup) ⋅ index - lucen...
