Re: Unknown command sent to server. ZxChatRequest

Note that we were *not using* zxchat, so this is definitely not a general solution . You might want to just "toggle status" to 'disabled', and see if that fixes it. I have solved this by navigating to: home-configure-zimlets right click on: com_zextras_chat_open choose "undeploy"

Re: clarification, please, for pre-reqs for Ubuntu server 18.04 regarding libgmp3c2

Well, after an October 4 email response from Gayle Billat of zimbra-team at zimbra [dot] com, and a couple of follow up emails over the next two weeks, we at least know zimbra are aware of this gap in the checklist.... Re: zmswatch high cpu usage

Just in case you haven't realized it yet, your machine was infected with a coin miner. see https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2019-9670 lots of discussion of post-patch cleanup here (warning - there are a couple of variants, so not everything applies) https://lorenzo.mile.si/zimbra-c...

GUI option to to change zimbraPrefOutOfOfficeCacheDuration per user?

Just implemented a new zimbra 8.7.9_GA FOSS server First question from the users (after how do I set up my OOO reply) was, "What is the duration before another reply is sent, and how do I change it?" (the aged Bynari system had it, and some users obviously valued it). so, how do I let the ...

[SOLVED] question re: NFS as backup target
Tonight we'll see how the zmbackup (?) script deals with the situation (failure scenario - no NFS mount, no (vmdk) partition mounted, /opt/zimbra/backup owned and with permissions as above).
Well, not quite as I had hoped (but close!). The backup failed as des...

[SOLVED] question re: NFS as backup target
chown /opt/zimbra/backup to root, and set it 700. The zimbra backup process runs as zimbra, so if it isn't mounted it won't be able to write the backup there and will immediately fail.
Verified in testing that it works this way. Tonight we'll see how ...

Rather than engaging in some necromancy (
...I'm not really seeing any drawback but perhaps I'm overlooking something...
One thing I am wondering about (and I haven't found out if there is a fix in quite a bit of searching through the docs and forum), is ...
