Problems with subject encoding

Hi, I'm having trouble with the encoding of the subject with some emails. Using the Webclient, as an example, instead of something like: Re: Parcelas Abertas: I'm getting the following: =?ISO-8859-1?Q?Parcelas Abertas: ?= The same email, downloaded using POP3, in Thunderbird, does display properly. ...

[Solved] Re: Unable to start Zimbra

Hi, I had the same error with 8.8.9. Removing -155 kernel (and running with older -153) everything works again. - Samuli Tks, that was really the problem. I had -147 still installed and booted with that one. It solved the problem. Since uptime is more critical, I will update to -153 in a maintenanc...

Unable to start Zimbra

Hi, This night I restarted the Zimbra server due to a kernel update (via APT), and Zimbra is now refusing to start. Seems to be something with the control process itself. If I simply try to stop Zimbra with 'service zimbra stop', the output is the following: Host Stopping vmware-ha...skipped. /opt/z...

zmtlsctl fails to set the Web Server Mode

Hi, I've just upgraded my Zimbra from 8.0.7 to 8.7, and installed a commercial SSL certificate. Both HTTP and HTTPS are working fine, but I would like to push all users to use HTTPS. To that, I saw that I should use zmtlsctl . The problem is that the command is failing with the following output: [zi...

Re: Jetty webapps not starting after server move

The problem is that the UID and GID of "zimbra" user on new server are not the same as on old server. Just fix it. Legopost, tks a lot. You reply just saved my server. I had a server server crash that destroyed root, but the /opt partition was salvageable. After rebuilding everything, mai...

Change language in login page

Hi, I have a Zimbra 8.6 server running in Ubuntu 14.4. I've set the default language (in config\class of service\default\preferences) to Portuguese. The problem is that when I open the webpage for users login, it remains in English, and many of our users are non-english speakers. Did I miss the prop...

How to block a brute force attack?

Hi, I have a ZCS, version 8.6 installed, running on Ubuntu 14.04. I've enabled  zmauditswatch. Now, I'm seeing with some frequency (about once every 2 to 3 weeks) one random IP address making brute force attacks against most of our emails addresses. Example: Account failure threshold ex...

Non-intuitive message in forced password change screen

Hi,I noticed a small problem when a user is forced to change his password at login. In the password change screen, if the user mistypes his current password, the following message is displayed: “A network service error has occurred."That is not intuitive, and leads the user to think that ...
