Re: Zimbra Collaboration 8.8 is Now Available

Congrats! I am excited also. Happy to see the new cadence of releases. Backup and restore to a different OS or OS version is VERY great news! You just made my next OS upgrade easier, so thanks!!! Not sure I understand from the release notes, it looks like shared mail and contacts folders will now be...

Re: Cal items not syncing to Apple Calendar

I am having problems again with some users on MacOS High Sierra. The calendar is not sycing to iCal on their mac, or only partially syncing. This has happened with primary calendars, and with shared calendars. Outlook and the web interface is fine. If I: 1) backup the calendar from the web interface...

Re: 2fa setup fails at last user step

I got it working by install the Google Authenticator on a tablet instead of using the app already on my phone. Will it not work if you have gmail account already setup? Has anyone gotten it going with a Zimbra account and gmail account at the same time???

2fa setup fails at last user step

Release 8.7.11.GA.1854.UBUNTU14.64 UBUNTU14_64 NETWORK edition. I have the NE with the license for 2FA (2 Factor Authentication). Following instructions here: https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Zimbra_Two-factor_authentication Think it would be good to update instructions so admin knows to restart service...

Re: questions in setup a new zimbra mail server to replace current mail server

I think I would be tempted to setup a spare computer as a bind dns server for just the test zimbra server. Keep everything else in your network pointed to the real dns server.

Re: Outlook 2016 Mac

We tested with 8.6, but just upgraded our server to 8.7. Is it worth testing again?

Re: Single Server with multiple WANs

DNS and BIND (Albitz & Liu) shows no prohibition about having two different IPs PTR records to the same name, and actually do just that on the example on page 65 & 66 (4th edition). So, simply change the PTR from mail2.example.com to mail.example.com e.g. this would be perfectly fine: 1.249...

Re: Outlook 2016 Mac

We have mostly given up on it. It does not seem reliable, and could not get some features working that are available for Windows. (If I remember correctly, could not share calendars and contacts properly.) Be happy to try again when I hear it has been improved. It is frustrating to me the iOS has be...
