Finally I ran unlink /opt/zimbra/log/sync.log and recreated sync.log

But no new logs are written in the file and the space hasn't been freed : (

No i didn't stop zcs before. The zcs is very very long to restart so I prefer not restarting server during the day. I tried truncate -s 0 /opt/zimbra/log/sync.log but no change. It seems that a process disallow me to empty the file. Any suggestion ?

Hello, On a Zimbra 8.0.6 (please don't tell me to upgrade), The /opt/zipmbra/log/sync.log is about 4GB. I tried tu purge it with command : > /opt/zimbra/log/sync.log but it doesn't work (no output but style 4GB). I can "tail" this file but "head" does not work :shock: How can I e...

I know this but for any reasons I don't want to upgrade now. And this can be worst upgrading an unstable zimbra.

Zimbra version is 8.0.6

Server is a VM (ESXi 6.0.0) with 8 CPU/48GB RAM.
/opt is on VMWARE disk (ext4)
Volumes (index and store) are iscsi target (ext4)
