I forgot to mention that i have a pretty restrictive firewall and that zimbra 8 is hosted on AWS, to open ports for both servers are only http/https and ssh, does it require additional open ports?
i've been trying to use
/opt/zimbra/libexec/zmztozmig –f /opt/zimbra/conf/zmztozmig.confzmig.conf
to migrate from zimbra 7.x to zimbra 8.x both on centos but i systematically get:
WebDAV standard does not provide a way for client to specify a file
creation date, i guess Synchronization must be done comparing MD5 checksum of file

I've also just tested the mirroring synchronization from the filesystem to the zimbra webdav service with Cyberduck WebDAV https client. Since the date is not preserved it happens that the file...
I've tested only for emails and files and it seems that the interface is not important, i've tried with the web interface but also the webdav with CyberDuck. Loosing the timestamp on the import is a...

i've noticed that all the resources (emails, files..) uploaded to zimbra looses the original date of creation/modification, this is a relevant issue since the users cannot identify anymore...
rerunning the following fixed the above issue
[root@portal2 init.d]# /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmfixperms -verbose
ok, got it.. the server has 3 domains and somehow the ldap_master_url and ldap_url has been rewritten with zimbra.mydomain.org, this made it work:
zmlocalconfig | grep mydomain
the certificate seems not expired:
[root@portal2 ~]# /opt/zimbra/bin/zmcertmgr viewdeployedcrt
notBefore=Nov 5 17:45:11 2012 GMT
notAfter=Nov 3 17:45:11 2022 GMT
we had a power outage (because of Sandy) and the zimbra 7 open source server is now giving me the same error:
[zimbra@portal2 ~]$ zmcontrol status

i'm wondering if the open source zimbra 8 will synchronize shared contacts address books with CardDAV clients. I'm know using Zimbra 7.2.1 and this is not actually the case: the only...
i've found a work around but it's very annoying:
1 - open the message from shared email account;
2 - edit as new
3 - save as draft
4 - open the draft
5 - save in briefcase
but since it's a...
The same issue here, is there a workaround ???
sorry for the cross posting, this section might be more appropriate for my issue: i've set up in the past email accounts that where shared between users. This shared mailbox account has...
