    telnet localhost 389 doesn't work, but that's not the hostname.

    telnet phred.pksings.com 389 works fine, which is the hostname.

    Solved, ASSP running on port 25.

    The ASSP service was running on port 25. It's not anymore. I removed everything, rebooted and re-installed. Now it runs just fine. Doesn't seem to accept mail, but it is at least running.
