Multiple COS after backup and restores

Hi, In order to upgrade from Ubuntu 14 to 16 I backup'ed and did a clean installation of Zimbra FOSS having previously experienced the unwanted and unexpected. This was also the easiest and quickest way I could find. I have though now got a number of COS where I really only want a default and defaul...

SOLVED: Accounts and Messages Import Script

Was looking in the wrong place for the Zextras backups.
Seems to be restoring nicely now.
Thanks.

Accounts and Messages Import Script

Sometime ago I found a brilliant script that managed to read from a copy of a zimbra mailstore all the account information and messages into a new installation of Zimbra. Unfortunately I have mislaid that script and need it again, has anyone got a copy? I have a complete copy of a zimbra installatio...

dnscache suddenly stopped working.

I have no idea why but dnscache now refuses to load. I get the output on a zmcontrol restart saying it is running but on a status check it is not. All I can find in the log is that 127.0.0.1:53 refused. Any advice gratefully received. I will continue to try and work out what has happened. Thanks. 8-)

Re: ransonware

Make sure you are using the latest version of your OS.
Make sure you have an anti-virus security package.
Make sure you are making backups on a regular basis. Work out how much you can afford to loose, 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week and make a backup plan accordingly.

Re: sauser.cf not being read

Hi JDunphy, And dork of the year goes to ME !! The data path should have read /opt/zimbra/data/spamassassin/localrules/ etc - I have an fstab bind that moves zimnra to another raid array mounted on /data and I wrote down the wrong path sorry. I use an SSD with the OS then a 3 Drive Raid 5 to hold th...

Re: sauser.cf not being read

Hi JDunphy, Thanks for the hint about using --lint. I ran it both with and without the debug switch. Firstly it reports that the first 2 lines of my sauser.cf have errors. So I commented them out. But it proves that it is reading the files in /etc/opt/data/spamassassin/localrules/ which I confirmed ...

Re: Upgrading Ubuntu from 1404 to 16.04

As far as I know from about Linux Kernel 4.x.x the idea behind interface naming changed so that the old eth0 eth1 was replaced by interface names like p1p1 and ensc1 etc. I do not currently have the time to read up on the whys and wherefores yet but give me a couple of days and I will try. Regards, ...
