ZCO + Outlook 2010: Your account could not be validated...

Validation is a login attempt. Start with simple logins using a web browser if you are having issues. The logctl method creates the missing HKLMsoftwarezimbra registry key I think.

MYOB sending invoices via ZCO fails

Hey there. We have had similar problems in the past, and I feel it is starting to resurface with some profiles again. We already fixed this bug: Bug 48276 – MYOB Crashes when ZCO is used and its probably related. Essentially MYOB uses a dud way to send emails through outlook, and they aren'...

FOSS border system for Zimbra - mxHero

Interesting. I would also be interested in making this into a transparent SMTP interceptor using shorewall and a box in bridged mode. Then you could plonk it down upstream and get stats and filtering without any config change at all...

Moving Mailbox from one MBS to another

I would advise you use zmmailboxmove on the command line. and a screen session. and have good backups.

and then check the logs after you have moved it. its logged into /opt/zimbra/logs/mailbox.log

scipt to always download the latest connector?

As part of our user facing documentation, we tell customers to download the Outlook connector from our admin portal, and link directly to it. You don't need authentication to link directly to the zimbra connector, so it works fine. Trouble is, the connector address changes every time we update, ...

zmmovemailbox failed - now users's mail is GONE

had the same heartstopping problem the other day with a customer. did the same thing to put it back. we haven't figured out why it happens, but I suspect something to do with the same problem that the .tar.gz exporter is having.

Trigger appointment reminder zimlet from outlook?

Hi, This is a little odd request - a customer loves the appointment reminder zimlet, but only wants to use outlook for many people. Is there a way to trigger this zimlet to run by simulating the ZCS webui login, and loading the zimlet from the command line? Or a way a similar thing can be achieved i...

Zimbra connector for outlook causing excessive network usage

We have had the same problem in the past (completely saturating the internet connection at some clients). This was fixed by re-creating and upgrading, but we never got a good explanation from Zimbra support (no offence Frank!) I believe it was a bug in jetty and some fileupload failed function that ...
