Best way for Zimbra to access storage from within a VM

We use OpenVZ successfully to get the benefits of virtualisation without the overhead of vmware on the I/O. Zimbra runs fine, and we have pretty much identical hardware to yours with more users at one site we look after, even the same raid card. I recommend RAID10 though. Summary - RAID10, OpenVZ. U...

ZCO and shared calendar

Seen this when the DLLs fail to register properly. Frank, we did a rollout/migration to 45odd users today, and the massive majority of them failed to register the relevant DLLs to enable the Zimbra menus for ZCO in outlook. outlook 2007 on xp pro, local administrators. Wrote a batch file to fix it (...

zimbra uses too much resource?

we have been working with the zimbra devs and support on a cpu usage issue for the zimbra mailbox java process. The sympton is that java threads spiral out of control and just take all the CPU of the box eventually. I don't think you have the same issue, so you need to produce zmdiaglog outputs ...

ZCS 6.0.1 Zimlets that doesn't work anymore

I would love to have the social zimlet working for facebook integration too. I followed the steps to add the api, and facebook said 'success' but the account never appears in my list of accounts. Its a great idea, and I can really see it taking off, and as far as zimlets go, has the potentia...

Undesrtand Zimbra Documents

I am also curious about this. In Zimbra 6.0 network edition, does changing the documents account to a single one for all the domains affect anything? Some of my customers don't want to have a seperate wiki@domain account just for documents (or don't want to pay for it). Wondering if I can am...

Outlook doesn't sent big attachments or sync 'Sent' folder

I have the same problem. Here is a bug report: Bug 40396 – ZCO does not handle size exceeded errors from server Does the load on your server increase after this happens? In particular, I am noticing the cpu on the server for the mailboxd java process gets hammered after a few of these uploads ...

send an annoucement to every user on server

Hi, I have tried searching to no avail so I have to make a new thread...How do I send an email to every user from the admin console? I know I could write a script to do it via the zmprov tool - is there a way in the admin web gui to do it at all? I feel it would be very useful, to allow the admins t...

Debian Port - Completed with Instructions

I would be very interested in Debian packages. We are using Ubuntu for most everything now and packages that just work on Hoary would be much appreciated. I can get one of my guys who is a Debian Developer to sponsor zimbra for inclusion in Debian, but I think your license is not DSFG compliant... M...
