Any updates on the hot backup script? What's the status of this and restoration of a hot backup?

Full Server Backup and Restore of “open source version”

Well, you guys are great -- I haven't looked at this thread for nearly a year, but it's great to see we're getting somewhere! At any rate, something occurred to me while catching up on this rather important thread (after all, what good is anything if you can't back it up?!?). While w...

One mail, multiple users

Well, one other problem I see with the shared account workaround for shared mailboxes is that it doesn't seem that Zimbra allows a user to be logged into two accounts at the same time in different windows. If I log into an account on one window, and open Zimbra up in another, it automatically as...

Outlook/Mobile Sync, Open Source vs. Network Editions?

When there is eventually an open source MAPI connector, do you guys plan to try to integrate it into your open source version? I'm kinda confused as to what exactly your company is trying to do. Are you trying to create an open source solution that all-but works for corporate situations, leaving...

Outlook and Zimbra calendar without MAPI

Ok well if you speak soap, are you speaking some well-standardized soap language to talk back and forth between a calendar and a server, or is it a set of commands you guys came up with? In other words, is it "possible" (from a theoretical standpoint, I'm not asking if you know if such...

Outlook and Zimbra calendar without MAPI

Ok so how does this work? How does the Zimbra web client's calendar talk to the Zimbra server? Through some kind of iCal protocol or something? Whatever method that is, could I get Outlook to speak that protocol too? I don't want to pay for (or wait for) the MAPI connector, but couldn't ...

Shared/Public folders

Any clue as to how close we are to shared/public folders now? Also, is this feature intended to be in the open source version or just the network edition?

Full Server Backup and Restore of “open source version”

Post back in this thread if you get any of that stuff to work... we're trying to do the same thing, all we want it for is disaster recovery. What would the risk be of not being "in sync"? I wonder if it would start erroring out all over the place, not being able to find emails referenc...

Full Server Backup and Restore of “open source version”

What if we have several hundred megabytes or several gigs of email? That'll take too long to backup. How long are we supposed to keep the server down to make the nightly backups? We want to switch over to Zimbra from Exchange, but even Exchange will backup without shutting down the server...Ther...
