disable "local folders"

Anyone else run into this and figure a way to work around this issue? Does Zimbra Desktop at least store the email in local folders in a different physical location on the filesystem so maybe I could change permissions on it and at least force Zimbra Desktop to bomb gracelessly so that I could at le...

disable "local folders"

Ideas, anyone? I'm really afraid to roll out Zimbra Desktop to more users, as I fear that that they'll put email in the local folders thinking they're just creating additional folders outside their inbox. I'll try to train them, of course, but that won't prevent problems. If I co...

disable "local folders"

Sometimes my users are dumb and they store things in their Zimbra Desktop "local folders", meaning it's no longer stored on the server, and in the event of a computer crash, etc. the emails are gone. Is there any way to completely disable this feature?

using zmmailbox export, getting "chunked stream ended unexpectedly"

Running zmmailbox with the -v option results in the following message :ERROR: zclient.IO_ERROR (Unable to get ?fmt=tgz) (cause: java.io.IOException chunked stream ended unexpectedly) com.zimbra.common.zclient.ZClientException: Unable to get ?fmt=tgz ExceptionId:main:1298339822222:0e134d50bb1a62c5 Co...

Importing LDAP from another server

"Cannot necessarily" as in "go ahead, give it a shot, it might work and if so then great" or as in "that's really a bad idea and you're just asking for trouble so don't bother". :)

Importing LDAP from another server

I think you're right about it being the passwords. I've now followed the 32-bit to 64-bit migration article (including the part about the passwords), and it worked -- but I was making sure to stay on the SAME zimbra version. Should I be able to import LDAP from a newer version into an older ...

using zmmailbox export, getting "chunked stream ended unexpectedly"

With the new ZCS 7.0, I'm trying to use zmmailbox to export all the email accounts from my server. I'm going in a loop over the list of mailboxes returned from zmprov -l gaa and doing the following :zmmailbox -z -m email@domain.com getRestURL "//?fmt=tgz" > email.tgzOf the 135 or s...

Zimbra OSS to Android sync

We've recently tested the CardDAV and CalDAV sync between ZCS and the iPhone which seems to work well. With Zimbra Desktop as a good option for a desktop client, that mostly leaves us with a gaping hole for Android sync, at least for calendar and contacts. Anyone know what the best Android sync ...

[SOLVED] Zimbra 6 -> 7 - Zimbra does not know its own virtual hosts

I know this thread is turning into a "me too" fest, but I just thought I'd add that -a) I had this same problem b) I was upgrading from 6.0.5 -> 7.0.0 and still had the problem c) Replacing main.cf from a backup FIXED all of my problem d) I noticed the problem while doing the upgrade o...
