5.0 and 4.5.x on same back-end ldap?

Hi,

I am wondering if it would be possible to set up a server running 5.0 beta within my existing 4.5.x infrastructure? That is, have a mailbox server running 5.0 beta, while keeping my ldap/mta/etc servers on 4.5.5?

Distribution list to all users at domain

It can be done from the command line -
tmpfile=`mktemp`

zmprov gaa | grep mydomain.com$ > $tmpfile

for acct in `cat $tmpfile` ; do

zmprov addDistributionListMember everybody@mydomain.com $acct

done

rm -f $tmpfile

...or something like that

openldap - different sets of schemas on different servers?

Right, You can have Zimbra authenticate against any existing LDAP server, without modifying the schemas. When you configure a domain in Zimbra, you tell it how you want it to do LDAP lookups to authenticate its users.

Task Support?

The roadmap mentions that Task support is enabled in the latest (4.5) releases, and basic tasks seem to work. However, users are unable to send task requests to each other. When they try, they get the message "Could not complete the operation because the service provider does not support it.&qu...

Certificates for multiple domains

Also interested in a resolution for this. IE7 gives a nasty error message that most users assume can't be gotten past. I blame IE for making such a menacing error page, but it sure would be nice to have a way around it.

Deploy ZCO automatically

If you're running Active Directory you could push the .msi to your clients via Group Policy. I'm nots ure how safe it is to do with the Zimbra connector, so you may want to test on your own. You can google or search Microsoft's site for the right way to publish applications to computers ...

Zimbra System and Windows 2003 server active directory

Zimbra needs to run on a Linux (or Mac OSX) operating system. However, it can easily authenticate against Active Directory through its LDAP capabilities. I'd recommend installing linux and Zimbra on your dedicated mail server and you'll be a happy guy (or girl). If you're not dedicating ...

'Outlook Today' gone, unable to Share

I believe I've resolved issues 2) and 3) with this page from the wiki: However">http://wiki.zimbra.com/index.php?title=EnableSharingAddinHowever, I'm still having issues with the Outlook Today page for some users. I fixed some by re-installing and making new profiles in Outlook, but tha...
