Querying zimbra LDAP hidden accounts

We are implementing an SMTP tarpit spam system in front of Zimbra in order to lower spam rate with postfix. For our system, we query zimbra via LDAP in order to detect it an email is or not valid, enabling postfix tarpit if the error number in reception emails is high. So, our architecture is postfi...

Zimbra and Evolution (do we need connector)

Some Zimbra users at our organization are being migrated to Linux. The most user-friendly email client at this moment is Evolution, since it's very similar to outlook 2003. We have installed a machine with Ubuntu 8.10 in order to start testing with linux. Evo is configured as IMAP client, Calend...

HSM and backup

Hi everybody. We are planning to increase our mail storage space by enabling HSM and using a cheap RAID5 NAS for storing those old messages that are never needed but are important for some users. :) However, I have a doubt about backup strategy. Does zmbackup include those contents in incremental or ...

[SOLVED] Zimbra Backup Report: FAIL
We too are mounting the NAS with NFS and yes, deletion does take forever. If you can use the --zip option when making your backups, it goes a lot faster since there are way less files to work on.
Hmm... good idea! I've switched to use --zip opt...

[SOLVED] 5.0.7 Upgrade Failure - when hostname of server does not match cert

Same problem here when upgrading from 5.0.5 to 5.0.7.

Fortunately, I've not found problems to revert to 5.0.5 but I prefer to wait until 5.0.8 arrives instead of try to ugrade again applying workarounds.

Selecting what disks to show usage

Hi everybody. For more than one year, we have been using an external USB hard disk for backup storage in a zimbra NE installation. However, we have recently replaced this USB hard disk by a NAS mounted via NFS export. Zimbra stats, however, still displays sda1 usage that, of course, is empty (because...
