strange iSync error

Hey there. You might want to try a reset sync and see if that clears things up for you. The most thorough way of doing that is by running iSync.app that lives in the /Applications folder. Go to Preferences and select Reset Sync History. After that, do a Sync Now in the Zimbra prefPane and see if tha...

iSync Connector

Sorry to hear you're having some problems with the connector. The logs that the connector generates are often a great help in pinning down what the problem might be. They are located in ~/Library/Logs/Zimbra.
If you have a minute, could you zip up the log folder and attach it?
Thanks,
Scott

Can you check your private messages? I've been tracking this bug and I'm hoping you can help me get it fixed.
Thanks,

iSync connector retrieving multiple contact ghosts instead of single current entry

No, it's not. And unfortunately it's a generic error, so it doesn't tell us much. You'll probably learn more by looking at the sync logs in ~/Library/Application Support/Zimbra/com.*. They should contain some data that will help to pinpoint the problem.

iSync connector retrieving multiple contact ghosts instead of single current entry

:-) Yep, it took me awhile to get the hang of it. The challenging aspect to it is that you can't search (at least I haven't found a way) to search for arbitrary record data. You can only search for records by id, which initially isn't that helpful, because you have no idea what the id is...

iSync connector retrieving multiple contact ghosts instead of single current entry

Well this is the complicating factor. The iSync Connector is not syncing directly with Address Book. It's syncing to Sync Services, as is Address Book. So when you're deleting all the contacts out of AB, it's not necessarily deleting everything in the Sync Services database. An interestin...

Well from that snippet of log, it looks like the iSync Connector is doing the correct thing. Perhaps the problem is with Address Book and Sync Services. You mentioned that you cleaned out Address Book...how specifically did you do this?
Thanks,
Scott

iSync connector retrieving multiple contact ghosts instead of single current entry

Hey there. What you're describing is certainly puzzling. Just a couple of questions: do you have any shared contact folders? Are the John Doe's in the "Emailed Contacts" folder? I know you said you selected only the Contacts folder, but since you're sure you emptied Address Boo...

iSync times out after 1683 contacts

Can you try posting the logs? They are located in the ~/Library/Application Support/Zimbra/com.* folder. That would be very helpful in helping track down what might be happening.
Thanks,
Scott

iSync Connector not performing full sync

Thanks for the logs. They don't seem to indicate any problem unfortunately. Can you look in your system log file and see if there are any errors that might seem relevant? Errors from iCal or Sync Services would qualify as relevant and interesting if they happen to show up.
Thanks,
Scott
