Strange data store size increase on migration

> fdupes -m -n -r /opt
Don't run that without the -n!
Keep it within /opt/zimbra/store. Other "duplicate" files are likely to be temporary lockfiles and whatnot, which would be bad to combine.

Calendar entries being deleted via mobile

All happy iPhones are alike, but every Android is unhappy in its own way.I've seen similar with two VIPs. Most phones have an option for a sliding calendar window, typically syncing events 7-30 days into the past plus all future events. With these very special phones, you sync a new item, wait a...

Strange data store size increase on migration

@bdial: Dedupe only takes effect at LMTP submission time. If you use imapsync, zmrestore, or any other non-SMTP, non-LMTP import method, there is no dedupe.@phoenix: I find it hard to imagine duplicating data with imapsync by accident and not seeing the effects in the client. Maybe you'd copy th...

Logging IP address of ActiveSync client

audit.log, sync.log, and mailbox, log have the username and usually the client type, but not the connecting IP address. One could correlate audit.log with the rather voluminous Jetty access_log, but that's a lot of work, and it might be spoofable.Entered as Any">https://bugzilla.zimbra.com/s...

Need help tracing ActiveSync issues

In the context of support case 78561, it was suggested that the below change to 7.1.3 would enable detailed logging. It doesn't -- in fact, synctrace.log is still empty, and sync.log stopped logging entirely.I see two previous unanswered questions on this topic, but they were a while ago.My imme...

7.1.2 - external GAL search in Standard HTML broke

External GAL search in Standard HTML fails for me. AJAX GAL search and People Search are fine. Is this something I did, or can anyone else replicate?

NUMA configuration

My server is bare metal (Dell R710) booting from Compellent SAN. I still get snapshots at the storage layer, and I can still use VMs for test and DR. I always test upgrades by mounting consistent snapshots of production /opt/zimbra/* as Xen VMs (old version included in RHEL 5.7). When I do this, I/O...

NUMA configuration

The general recommendation is to keep within one NUMA zone. Fine. But given current Nehalem CPUs and Intel chipsets, you can build a server both faster and cheaper with two sockets than with one socket, because then you can populate 6 sockets with 1.3GHz RAM versus 3. The non-local RAM access penalt...
