Auto-provisioning calendar data/shared calendars

We haven't actually bought Zimbra either, so this is a pre-sales question (hint). Is it even possible to do #2, administratively shove a bunch of events into a user's calendar? The REST interfaces all seem to assume that you know the user's password. We are able to do https://webmail.carle...

Secure URL

Re fizi's reply: You might need something that's able to redirect http://zimbra/some/specific/url to https://zimbra/some/specific/url, not just the top level redirect. The reason for this is that Apple's iCal, and possibly other things, supports https but won't let you type in https U...

Secure URL

For those of you in sensitive environments, please be aware of I'd">http://bugzilla.zimbra.com/show_bug.cgi?id=14538I'd originally sent that as a private support request, but it looks like they made it public. Until that issue is fully addressed, then you might want to force your users ...

Zimbra and SElinux

See http://bugzilla.zimbra.com/show_bug.cgi?id=13301 for one known problem even if SELinux is in non-enforcing mode.I'd feel better if Zimbra had a strong "we don't support SELinux or iptables" statement rather than simply telling people to turn them off.I am probably going to run ...

Open Email in New Window

Sounds like an RFE for me. I can see how it could be nontrivial -- you have to worry about thread state, you probably don't want to reproduce the whole existing button bar (maybe from Tag rightwards), it's another code path to maintain, etc.In any case, thanks for pointing out the Detach fea...

Unable to send mail to Hotmail/MSN

Hotmail does have a tendency to accept mail, then silently delete it.This will definitely happen if you have bad SPF records. If you've recently changed your email architecture, you might have forgotten that. Check out your domain at No">http://www.openspf.org/No SPF records isn't neces...

Auto-provisioning calendar data/shared calendars

I'd like to pre-fill the Zimbra calendars of our 2200 students and faculty with their class schedules. I've munged the schedule data into iCalendar format, or I could use Zimbra native/csv format if that's a little more efficient. So how do I get the data to the user accounts?Obvious app...

Groupwise migration

I see that the GroupWise migration wizard was released in 4.5.3. Is there any documentation hiding anywhere?

Geographically split Zimbra clusters, netsplits, down LDAP master...

I was thinking of leading a Zimbra deployment for a consortium of local colleges to share costs, expertise, etc. There would be one central LDAP master server, and an LDAP replica at each site. Each site would host their own mailbox server in their own data center connected to their own LAN and SAN.W...

Double Byte Char.

Ok, I've read through

http://bugzilla.zimbra.com/show_bug.cgi?id=5886 and added a comment.
Note that the characters around "JUST Suite 2007" are Japanese quote marks. That makes it a bit harder to convince a Japanese programmer that they're at fault.
