Adding appointments to a shared calendar

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE USING ICAL'S ICS SUBSCRIPTION FEATURE. ALAS THIS IS READ-ONLY AND A LONG-REMAINING PAIN TO ADMINS.THE REAL SNEAK IN THE NEAR TERM IS TO USE THE ISYNC CONNECTOR TO SYNC THE CALENDAR. I USED THESE STEPS: USER #1 CREATES A CALENDAR IN WEB CLIENT. I PUT SOME JUNK EVENTS TO FIL...

Free/Busy on mac mail client?

Our company is mostly Mac, but the Zimbra solution was so compelling that it pushed aside the other (Google, Kerio and Exchg) contenders.I am, myself anyway, looking forward to using Mail.app/iCal/Address Book for offline and online use, and hope that Zimbra and my Zimbra vendor can have that workin...

Free/Busy on mac mail client?

The chosen path seems to me to be CalDAV under Leopard's iCal 3.0 which I had working last year under Zimbra RC2 hosted demo and OS X 10.5.1 in the attached picture. Unfortunately I can not seem to get this working under our deployed 5.0.1 server and 10.5.2, and need to wait on a vendor for furt...

WebDAV mounts in Mac OS X create garbage files

Yeah, and that will be handy, but I am more concerned about the Resource Fork files that start with the "._" in my image attached above there are several of them, mostly files that come from Office for Mac.
Anybody else have this issue?

WebDAV mounts in Mac OS X create garbage files

Aside from the other bugs with webdav (see this messy thread) I am seeing some ugly problems when trying to use files copied to the webdav share when mounted via Mac OS X Finder: Opening and working documents to the webdav share creates files that have a different time zone or date (file says 6:13 m...

Entourage and iSync - Mail setup and Shared Calendars

At this time, and somebody correct me if I am wrong, Entourage isn't a prime client target for Zimbra and has a number of issues: No native Mac MAPI/OWA support for shared data as in Exchange or Kerio. Entourage only syncs a calendar called "Entourage" with Sync Services, making Zimbra...

iSync Connector installs, but will not appear in preferences...

I have the iSync connector running on updated Leopard on a MacBook, it is running against the Zimbra hosted demo. The pref pane and the sync function just fine both ways and the calendars and contacts I am syncing are very messy as a torture test, so I am wondering what is happening on your machine. ...
