Migration: Rsyncing /opt/zimbra/store increases file size

Hi,A few weekends ago I started migrating a server from an old Ubuntu 6.06 32-bit server to a new Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit server. I've done this before on another server without much problem, but that was a much smaller server in terms of accounts and mail stores. For the migration I followed the off...

Completely remove memcached

Completely remove memcached

Thanks phoenix. Yes, I saw that post. I ran the commands to list the packages installed and enabled. Only memcached is installed. I was mostly concerned about any potential issues I might encounter running apt-get remove.
Thanks again.

Completely remove memcached

A previous admin installed memcached on a single server Zimbra instance. As noted in many places, running memcached on a single server installation appears to cause issues. This is an Ubuntu server. I've disabled memcached but I'd like to completely remove it so that next time we run an upgr...

ZCS-NE : rsync /opt/zimbra/backup

I was wondering the same. What about tossing an -H in there for preserving hardlinks? Like:
rsync -avzpH --delete /opt/zimbra backup-01:/usr/local/backup/mail-02

I noticed they were using that here:

Bidirectional sync with Google Calendar?

I did about a 6-9 months ago. Although, I didn't try it with Google Calendar. Google Calendar in itself was just another attempt at solving the particular problem we had. Overall the Zimbra Funambol connector worked fine. It was pretty easy to install. However, we ran into issues with recurring ...

Attachment handling question

Hi,
Has anyone of you been able to set a default download folder. I'm trying to get ZD to always download attachments to a specified folder, similar to how Firefox would download to a specified folder.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

[SOLVED] Disabling the two dashes in the signature.

Hi,I unchecked the "User standard Internet signature" in the admin on the user's account. That appeared to do nothing, or at least that setting did not get read/pushed to his ZDesktop. There is no setting for removing the two dashes within ZDesktop. Should the zmprov command also make ...
