Re: OPTIMIZE tables in MySQL

On our servers, we don't see much of our storage costs associated with the db. Given your question, I did it at the disk level to see if we had the problem you mentioned. cd /opt/zimbra/db/data/ find . -size +100M -exec ls -lh {} \; For instance one of the largest accounts is about 50GB of storage b...

Re: [SOLVED] Distributed SASL LOGIN authentication failed

ipset is a great choice! if you create them with timeouts then you don't have to worry about taking out addresses that are from legit sites. # used by iptables to slow down smtp attacks ipset create blacklist hash:ip hashsize 4096 timeout 900 ipset create blacklist4hr hash:ip hashsize 4096 timeout 1...

#rewrite_subject 1 #20161205 #subject_tag _STARS(*)_ SPAM _STARS(*)_ #20161212 From my perspective, your rules above have syntax errors for version 3 spamassasin. Re: sauser.cf not being read

That is really odd. Did your -D --lint check run under the zimbra user so that you get their perl, modules, etc. I don't have a ubuntu install to check against but the behavior you describe is so different from my centos 6. That /etc/opt directory should be empty I would think. perl -V should tell y...

Re: Performance

Would need a bit more information to help with a guess? Have you grabbed any other stats? Do you have an educated guess of which subsystem? ... disk, cpu, interrupts, memory, network, etc. Dedicated hardware or Virtualized (KVM, Xen, vmware, etc)? What type of raid configuration are you running with...

Re: local delivery not so local

There is probably a few ways... I have my zimbra server think mail.example.com and example.com are local domains. My mail gateway with the MX records forwards email to mail.example.com. In that configuration, you would define example.com and mail.example.com aliases for each user and then create the...

For me: vi /opt/zimbra/data/spamassassin/localrules/sauser.cf /opt/zimbra/common/bin/spamassassin --lint zmantispamctl restart Note: with 8.7+, I put my perl plugins at: /opt/zimbra/common/lib/perl5/Mail/SpamAssassin/Plugin/ Hint: /opt/zimbra/conf/zmconfigd.cf Reference: https://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki...

Re: Wrong sender - external account

For my personas - yes. They are both internal aliases and what I will call hybrid external. My external personas are weird as they are not tied to a pop/imap account. I rewrite them to my zimbra email account via an alias on the smart gateway servers. I tested with both types this morning and they w...

Re: Wrong sender - external account

I remember this being a problem but just verified my personas with zimbra 8.7.1 work and there isn't even a 'Reply To:' anymore so just the persona in the From header. Exactly what I want! Back to your issue... that bugzilla report says that you can have a Reply-To with your persona and the From wil...

Re: Some questions to Zimbra administration

Perhaps this? https://bugzilla.zimbra.com/show_bug.cgi?id=106379 and from this forum query https://forums.zimbra.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=59951&start=10 Summary: If running postfix check gives you a bunch of errors, you can fix it as follows: chown root:postdrop /opt/zimbra/common/sbin/postq...
