prevent overlapping postfix services

Greetings, We had that very annoying situation where what should have been a simple server shutdown, switch power source, server start-up resulted in an hour of frustration. Somewhere between the last time we rebooted this Zimbra server and today CentOS decided to re-add postfix to it's start-up lis...

Re: Some services are not running.

It took me awhile to get back to this. In short I had to run just a couple of the recommended commands!

Code: Select all

zmloggerhostmap -d zimbra    zimbra.domainname.com
zmcontrol restart

Now the admin shows all services running! Thanks!

Some services are not running.

Greetings, We just moved our Zimbra (licensed network edition) install from a VM on a server that had a bunch of other VMs to a VM on a machine that is just for Zimbra and an internal DNS server (pretty much no load or disk space used by the DNS server) so that Zimbra can have full use of disk, CPU ...

Password Change = Network Error

Greetings, It seems I have a user that cannot change their password. When they visit "Preferences" and click "Change Password" they enter their old password and the new one twice and they get a "Network Error". I tried creating a new email user on the same server and wa...

Zimbra 8.6 using port 8443 for users

I'm not sure what the cause is, but some of the Zimbra Administration links and some of the end-user links are using port 8443 instead of just 443. There doesn't seem to be anything listening to 8443 publicly so some areas of the admin and user features are currently broken. Hopefully someon...

Users unable to change password in a multi-server environment

I have a single server zimbra install and it seems I have a similar problem. The webmail login works fine but when someone tries to change their password it tried to go to 8443 which doesn't respond. If I manually edit the URL and change 8443 to 443 the URL comes up fine. I'm not sure what t...

Why are my Class of Service configurations being ignored?

I've got  8.6.0_GA_1182.NETWORK running on CentOS 7.I've created a few different class of service entries for users: standard, advanced 1, advanced 2, advanced 3.When I create new domain I try to enter any of these in the default COS field and I get an error.  I'm forced to lea...

Why is mail disappearing from folders?

Greetings, A couple of months ago we moved one of our domains off of a 7.2.7NE and onto an 8.6.0_GA_1178 server.  In short the export and import process was troublesome.  We finally managed to run some commands given by Zimbra support and it seemed to stabilize somewhat.  Now we ...

How to upgrade from NE7.x on CentOS 5 to NE8.5 on CentOS 6

Hello Sebas, Thanks for the information. I had to to leave this for some time to focus on other areas. I've also tried doing this on domain by domain basis but so far it has not worked out. I am wondering if it's possible to do this on a user by user type basis? A side thing - on the new zcs...

How to upgrade from NE7.x on CentOS 5 to NE8.5 on CentOS 6

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately one of the assumptions clearly states that the documentation applies if moving to and from the same OS version. To move from ZCS 7.x to 8.x I have to change from CentOS5 to CentOS6. I am starting to think the only option is to move accounts over one domain at a tim...
