How to upgrade from NE7.x on CentOS 5 to NE8.5 on CentOS 6

Greetings.I have set up a new server for ZCS NE 8.5 and it's running on a new subdomain.  I have it set up so I can log in, send and receive mail using the subdomain - that's all grand.  Only issue with that install is it's telling my to activate my license by clicking some act...

Beware of iOS7 upgrade, problems sending e-mails

[quote user="1048cvidal"]I just received reports from different customers having issues when sending e-mails after upgrading to iOS7. It happens with all e-mail providers, Zimbra too. When it doesn't work, the symptoms can be one of the following :- The connection to the SMTP server fa...

OSSEC Rules

Greetings!
Are folks still using these example configurations? I've installed OSSEC 2.7.1-Beta on a Zimbra 7.2.5 server to try and help detect events. I'd love to know if the above configurations are up-to-date and in use by anyone with a similar setup.

system failure: native formatter failure

A few years later now running Zimbra 7.2.3 I am getting a complaint from a single user so far that one of their text documents will not open and generates this error: [QUOTE]HTTP ERROR 500Problem accessing /service/home/tent@golsfr8.com/Notebook/McF Sec. Reason: system failure: native formatter fail...

Attacks through webmail interface

Ok, I think I've found some IP's to look at. I have to say the log format in zimbra.log leaves a bit to be desired. It would be most helpful to have something simple like: May 1 14:30:26 Zimbra.Server.com event_id: 5757472de298xmP auth_zimbra: admin_console User: name@domain.com IP: 24.75.23...

Attacks through webmail interface

Thanks for the responses. Unfortunately using a VPN system is impractical for the setup. I do have a separate login for the primary admin user so I suppose I could remove administrator privileges from the affected accounts. At this point I would rather understand the attack and where it's coming...

Attacks through webmail interface

If I block the admin port from outside use, domain administrators will have no access to update or manage their users.

All I need is to figure out what IP's are hitting the admin and/or webmail interface to try and hack my account so I can setup a blocking mechanism.

Attacks through webmail interface

Greetings,I've been having problems where someone is targeting key user accounts including my own. I've been trying to track down the offending IP's using audit.log and zmauditswatchctl but I'm not having any luck. What I keep getting are reports that my own server is trying to hack ...

Outlook Connectors used where staff all log into one Microsoft shared server version?

Greetings I have been asked to setup Outlook Connector for a bunch of users that have a weird setup. Instead of having Outlook on their PC's, they all terminal into one Microsoft Server and use Outlook directly on the server. Has anyone run Outlook Connector on a setup like this so each user has...
