iCal refresh

Calendar data available on the same server share calendars. This was not stated clear enough. This works fine.
However, my users does not own all calendar data they want to see on their calendars. They want to make use of the iCalendar feeds to "complement" their calendar with external data.

"clean" migration from 5.0.18 to 6.0.x using imapsync

I plan to upgrade my 5.0.18 Zimbra server based on Ubuntu 8.04.2 32 Bit to 6.0.7 (once available) on Ubuntu 10.4, potentially 64 Bit, in VMware server. The easy migration procedure recommends to rsync the /opt/zimbra directory, install the same zimbra software on the new server and upgrade afterward...

One of my users had an issue that he could no more retrieve messages through the POP protocol. I analyzed the situation and found the faulty message. Also, the mailbox.log tells that there are index errors for this account. So, I moved the wrong message to a separate folder and I was able to retriev...

Best practice for zimbra: restart required?

I analyzed the content of /opt/zimbra and detected some old data and a large redo.log file of 50 MB. After restarting zimbra, the redo log was reduced to 512 KB. - Until now, I was under the assumption to have zimbra running 7x24, only stopping for upgrade or server restart purpose. This means that ...
