Apparently, HTML 5 uploads have become part of the FF plug-in bug, so you can vote on Bug 27153 – DnD plugin : Multi-Browser/Platform instead.

I tried this with the Mac build of the Novell edition, but no luck. It seems this option uses OS webdav support. Mac webdav support is incomplete, so the OOo webdav support is absent.
