Totally block send emails

How about something like this: main.cf: smtpd_sender_restrictions = check_sender_access pcre:/etc/postfix/sender_checks permitpostfix/sender_checks: /^root@dev.mydomain.com$/ OK /^specificuser@.*.mydomain.com$/ OK /./ REJECT This mail server does not accept mail from you

Need solution in authendication methods.

You could write your own authentication provider for this, but that would make your server usable only from LAN.

I wouldn't use MAC-address binding for this.

See this article and maybe this aswell for ideas.

And maybe SSO based on user account via kerberos SPNEGO

Server Migration - Zimbra Upgradation from version 6 to version 7

Since you have ~160Gb of data to backup: * Server-to-server over 100mbit LAN link would take ~4-5 hours, with gigabit link maybe ~1h * Server-to-USB2 harddrive, about 2 hours * In-server disk-to-disk if you have space, depending on the system, maybe 30...

Zimbra on a Hosted Dedicated Server ?

Having the server on premises makes things like attachments flow faster.

It's much easier to backup as well.

Hosted locations usually get faster network access, which might be a bottleneck on premises since you have a lot of users.

Server Migration - Zimbra Upgradation from version 6 to version 7

1. The wiki has many options for backup scripts, pick one, or simply use rsync manually. 2. Server upgrade or backuping the data? I spent about 8 hours upgrading from 6 to 7, but I'm running non-supported platform which means extra tinkering. Regular upgrade would probably take about an hour or ...

Security of Zimbra server?

Security isn't boxed product, something you buy and magically your system is secure. For firewall, yes or no, depends on your infrastructure setup. It all comes from understanding what the system is doing. * Why the system has service XYZ running? * Should it be running there? if yes, where it sh...

Statistics wrong?

I think the statistics go wrong due to the log parsing method.Lets look how mail traverses inside zimbra: Inbound internet mail: Mail arrives -> log AV, Antispam queues -> log Local delivery -> logIn/outbound internal mail Local av loop -> log Local delivery -> logOutbound internet mail Local av loo...
