zimlet description not found error

Yes. You'll probably have to move your click'ing activity into the Zimlet javascript and respond to the singleClicked event.
When receiving that events, you can get the user properties (that you have stored), encode/etc as necessar then open a window with the request params.

Using ZmTask as DragSource

ZmTask extends ZmCalItem (and so forth) to form the following inheritance chain:

ZmItem >> ZmCalBaseItem >> ZmCalItem >> ZmTask
So you should also check in the parent class(es) for the methods/properties you are looking for.

Using ZmTask as DragSource

Specifying the drag source type to be ZmTask so tasks can be dropped on the panel zimlet is right. But once in doDrop, a ZmTask comes through in an array, not as a single object. So here's a way to check for type == task in doDrop(). We check TYPE == null, which tells us we have something other ...

singleClicked and doubleClicked not working for zimletPanelItem

There is currently a bug with and in zimlets. As an alternative, until the bug is fixed, you can process single/double clicked actions in the JS handler object for your zimlet.
