Updated to 7.12 - Install Fail

One theory I'd like to test is that the problem is somehow related to the lower-tier 'Home' and/or 'Starter' versions of Windows as opposed to 'Pro' or 'Enterprise'.
Can anyone confirm that they are having the problem on Pro/Enterprise?

Can also try running the msi file from the command line and specifying /l flag. This will produce a log which might help find the source of the problem. For example "msiexec /i zdesktop_7_1_2_ga_b10978_win32.msi /l*v C:/temp/install_log.txt"See How To: Get a Log of Your Installation for Deb...

Are there any relevant errors in Administrative Tools->Event Viewer? Check under the Application, Security, Setup, and System categories.
Also check the logs for your A/V software.

Zimbra Desktop sync error with ZCS proxy

This looks similar to Bug 56686 - Zimbra accounts often show incorrect offline status, but the underlying stack trace may be slightly different. Can you take a look at zdesktop.log and find the rest of that stack trace? There should be one or more 'caused by' after java.lang.Thread.run(Unknow...

A network service error has occurred

This looks like an error while looking up locations (e.g. conference rooms) for calendar booking. What type of accounts do you have configured in ZD; are they all ZCS accounts or do you have some POP/IMAP/Gmail/Yahoo accounts also? Can you say what you were doing when this error occurred?

Try running Zimbra Desktop in a separate web browser and enabling the Zimbra Desktop debugging interface. This probably won't fix the problem, but it might give us more debugging information to work with. 1) Go to set up page (Click on set-up link on top right corner) 2) Click on "Open in w...
