Re: ZCS 8.0.6 to 8.7.0 on Ubuntu 12.04 fails with MySQL error - Table 'mboxgroup22/#sql-ib6597-150967725' already exists

I've narrowed down the problem script to /opt/zimbra/libexec/scripts/migrate20140319-MailItemPrevFolders.pl. I can't see any way around this other than to comment out these lines from the runSql functoin in /opt/zimbra/libexec/scripts/Migrate.pm: # Migrate::myquit(1, "Error while running '$comm...

ZCS 8.0.6 to 8.7.0 on Ubuntu 12.04 fails with MySQL error - Table 'mboxgroup22/#sql-ib6597-150967725' already exists

Hello, I am upgrading Ubuntu 12.04 from ZCS 8.0.6 to ZCS 8.7.0. I've practiced this upgrade several times and have never encountered this error until now: <pre>Sat Aug 27 02:45:45 2016: Migrating mboxgroup20. This can take a substantial amount of time... Sat Aug 27 02:46:03 2016: done. Sat Aug 27 02...

ZCS 8.7.1 ETA and 16.04 Status

I am in the process of performing a zimbra hardware upgrade and would really like to move to Ubuntu 16.04 so that I can run /opt/zimbra on a ZFS zpool for easy snapshotting for backups. However, I see that 16.04 is still in beta status for ZCS 8.7.0. Thus I have two questions: * is there a list of k...

Re: Hardware Recommendation for Environment with 250 Users

Hi Mark, Thanks for the clarification and additional information. Some of the info on that wiki page seems very out of date, for example when talking about CPUs: We recommend an x86_64 dual-dual core CPU, of a speed that is not too low or too high on the price/performance ratio. Disable hyper-thread...

Re: Hardware Recommendation for Environment with 250 Users

Any additional updates on this? How can I avoid thread contention on a single server?

Re: Hardware Recommendation for Environment with 250 Users

Thanks for the good information! Zimbra needs fast disks. When you have fast disks, you can put several thousand active users on each mailbox server no problem. And by fast I mean Enterprise-grade SAS disks. Active Zimbra servers are near 50:50 read:write and have lots of random I/O of varying byte ...

Hardware Recommendation for Environment with 250 Users

Hello, I am currently running Zimbra 8.x in single-server mode on Ubuntu 14.04 on a quad-core Xeon with 24GB RAM and 7200RPM HDDs in a RAID. With the increasing number of users, Zimbra performance has been decreasing and occasionally users are encountering the "Network Service Error" with ...

SOAP API to read/write calendar events

Hello, I am using ZCS 8.0.6 Open Source edition on Ubuntu 14.04. I would like to write a script that can read calendar events from one user and write calendar events to another user. Is this possible with the SOAP API? I have had limited luck doing this by downloading, parsing, and uploading ICS fil...

zmmailbox count of messages in folder does not match web

I have resolved this problem. The key is that itemCount as reported by zmmailbox gaf is the total number of items (mail, address book, calendar shares, calendar events, briefcase, tasks, etc) in that folder. Using this script, I was able to query the mboxgroup and break down where these values were ...
