.../ldap/mdb/db/data.mdb exlposive growth (74GiB!) from upgrade 8.0.0 ==> 8.0.6

Hi Folks,On 2014.02.27 I upgraded from 8.0.0 to 8.0.6 (Release 8.0.6_GA_5922.RHEL6_64_20131203103705 RHEL6_64 FOSS edition.) Mail traffic, for the most part is unchanged, and that is good news. I have noticed that before the upgrade, /opt/zimbra/data/ldap/mdb/db/data.mdb was 31M and after the upgrad...

Hi Folks,Last night I noticed a bunch of messages that were routed through my server, with my address. My first fear is that my security has been compromised. On closer inspection, I think there is something else at work, but I don't fully understand.A domain name that figured prominently in the...

Changed ISP now outgoing mail is deferred
Is your ISP blocking port 25 outbound?
Geeze!!! This used to happen frequently with ComCast. It never even occurred to me that this could be the problem, but tests show that it is!
Thanks very much for the help,
Chris.

Changed ISP now outgoing mail is deferred

Hi Folks,Two days ago I changed ISP. This means that my public IP changed, but nothing internal to my network has changed. I have updated DNS registration and reverse DNS (tryx.org, and 107.128.74.228, respectively) I have rebooted my Zimbra server.Incoming mail was restored as soon as my DNS update...

zmstat

Hi Folks,
zmstat is logging data and it continues to grow. Is there a setting to limit this? How about a setting to purge data older than ? As a last resort, is there any adverse consequence to simply periodically deleting everything?
Thanks for the help,
Chris.

Messages in the deferred queue

Hi Folks,I am finding messages in the deferred queue, and I don't recognize any of them. As I understand it, these are outbound messages that have not been accepted for delivery. It is not at all clear to me how these messages are getting to the deferred queue because I am not sending them, whic...

Zimbra 8 (OSE) Backup

Hi Folks,
The examples I see all suggest that I need to backup the entire /opt/zimbra/... directory tree. This seems excessive. Is there a sensible subset?
Thanks for the help,
Chris.
