Zimbra Live Sync --- starting over. Can I delete the redo logs?

ok it appears that running rsync again for an initial sync again, then starting the sync service worked. The redo logs were automatically deleted on the mirror server and some space was freed up.

note: it takes a long time for the initial live_syncd process to start

Zimbra Live Sync --- starting over. Can I delete the redo logs?

I ran into the issue with Live Sync where new accounts were visible on the secondary(mirror) server, but the mail for those new accounts was not visible on the secondary(mirror) server. I discovered this was a known glitch and have accepted that. I am attempting to devise a plan to have the live syn...

Zimbra HA does not exist.

thanks for the heads up. still no HA for Zimbra. Looks like the last webinar on that was from late 2013. Last comments to the thread from serious Forum members was 2014. Not sure what to expect. also, the Always On initiative predates the ownership changeover, right?

Zimbra HA does not exist.

Seems like Zimbra does not offer any HA (and would not support anything) whatsoever. RHCS and VMware based HA is no longer supported as of 8.6 What is in the works to provide a supportable HA solution? I am actually forced to drop our 550+user/5 year running Zimbra server in the event that nothing c...

Cold Storage Archive Accounts

I don't have network edition...but maybe use a community server for this. Export the account and import to the community server. Not cold, but cold as far as licensing goes.

Spamassassin per user BAYES with external AS/AV

Hey, -We have 6 MTAs external to our Zimbra server. -AS/AV is off on Zimbra. -We run Spamassassin (with MIMEDefang) and AMAVIS on all of the MTAs (keep the load low on the Zimbra server)-Spamassassin+MIMEDefang sends and retrieves its BAYES via MySQL to a percona clustered DB (running on localhost o...

Updated live sync script

nevermind. It works on 8.6.0p1 . I had to add the live_sync.pub key to the /opt/zimbra/.ssh/authorized_keys file on both servers (or on primary before performing the initial rsync)

Active / Active mailstore clustering

Among other things, you would be limited by the requirement of the mysql DB being required to sync to the other master. Internal LDAP comes to mind as well.

Look into Zimbra Live Sync. Only for FOSS though.
