Weird Imap proxy behaviour during rolling upgrade

We are in the middle of a rolling upgrade migration from ZCS 8.0.8 to ZCS 8.8.12 and experiencing some weird behaviour related to the IMAP proxy. At this point some users have been moved to the new 8.8.12 server and some are on the old 8.0.6. All users access now from the proxy service on the new 8....

Re: New java exceptions in logs after upgrade 8.8.9_P2 to 8.8.9_P3

Apparently was caused by the shared folder sorting order. By default the sorting order of that folder was descending by date. Re: Upgrading Zimbra from Open Source Edition to Network Edition

Does your server reach the internet or is it isolated?
Try skipping the activation, you can do it later, once you've installed

./install.sh --skipactivation check

This forum is being actively monitored by CVE-2019-9670 exploiters

It's clear that this forum is being monitored by exploiters and used to modify the attack vector accordingly. One of the steps of the attack is to modify the date of the files /opt/zimbra/mailboxd/webapps/zimbra/js/zimbra/csfe/XZimbra.jsp /opt/zimbra/mailboxd/webapps/zimbra/public/Ajax.jsp /opt/zimb...

Re: More expensive migrations, with less functionality

This is just my personal opinion, but, it just seems that zimbra is taking all the wrong decisions you can take, unless of course you are just trying to kill the product. - Almost no participation in its comunity - Not providing a bug report system - Outdated and incomplete documentation - Outdated...

Re: Difference in size of Mailboxes after migration

It's related to the lable concept. Gmail does not works with folders and subfolder but with label. When it comes to "translate" that in an IMAP tree structure, Gmail maps every label to a folder. If you have a message that has two labels A and B, you will have two folders A and B each one ...

Re: storage

The primary storage is frequently read/written, so an S3 bucket will be extremely expensive. Zimbra does not support it natively for the primary volume. If you want to test it, you must mount your volume as per your provider instructions. I tested it on AWS last year. One day of use of a test machin...
