In my case, I try to initiate a share from account A, allowing account B to access one of my folders, using the Zimbra Desktop client 0.92. Everything looks fine at this point. The folder even shows that it is shared when I look at its properties in the Desktop client.
Now, I open account B using the web interface. (I assume it doesn't matter that I am using the same computer....does it?)
I see the message telling me there's a share for me. I try to accept the share but after clicking "yes" to the confirmation, I get the error I posted above.
All using ZCS 5.0.12 NE (Mac OS X 10.4) and Zimbra Desktop 0.92 (Mac OS X 10.5).
Now I quit Desktop and log out of the web interface. I use the web interface to log into account A. I check the properties of the folder and see it is shared, so I click "Resend". Account B can now accept the share.
However, let's start from the beginning. I initiate the share in desktop and I confirm that it can't be accepted through the web interface. Then I manually use the Link to Shared Folder command (right-click/ctrl-click on the word "folders" in the left pane) and enter the necessary information. Result: success.
So I think the problem is that Desktop isn't composing the share invitation correctly. The share permission itself is correctly created on the server.
At the same time, while testing this out I think I found that if I revoke a share in Desktop, the revocation doesn't take effect at the server. Testing that will have to wait, though.
EDIT: I may have misunderstood the reference to "Franklin" above. Does this mean the bug is only fixed in the FOSS version, not (yet) in NE?
