Just wanted to say that I was able to get Clam upgraded on our RHEL32 machine using the packages provided at ClamAV - Updating clamd for releases earlier than ZCS 5.0.16 - Zimbra :: Wiki
The only things I had to do that was not documented was 'chown -R' folders and 'diff' the broken 0.94.1 .conf's (/opt/zimbra/clamav-0.94.1/etc/freshclam.conf & clamd.conf') which ultimately comes down to replacing these lines; This may not be the case for everyone but I was running into issues issuing 'freshclam'.DatabaseDirectory /opt/zimbra/data/clamav/db
The message you're getting is saying it can't talk to mailboxd. If mailboxd is down, you could just restart it and try again too. If all services are down you need to at least start ldap and run with zmprov -l or start ldap+mailboxd and then run the command.Code:zmprov -l ms `zmhostname` +zimbraServiceEnabled antivirus

by adding the same link into the list..
- In a world without walls and fences who needs windows and gates?
- I am Running Linux.. Finally, my PC is valid & Reliable Hereafter.
I have disabled AV/AS through GUI, and run zmmtactl restart, and even reboot the whole server. However, all the email are still stuck in the deferred queue saying delivery temporarily suspended. connection refused to 127.0.0.1 smtp-amavis.
Is there anything i can do?
I am trying to upgrade the clamav now but hitting a lot of problems.
http://www.zimbra.com/forums/announc...-16-prior.html would have been a good thing. Of course I'm aware that it's my fault (and only mine) if I run old versions of zimbra.
Anyway I updated successfully a 5.0.8 and a 5.0.2 as described in the wiki page. Regarding the 5.0.2, which include clamav 0.92, I had to do 2 more things:
a) I modified the clamav.conf.in to substitue the outdated parameter "ArchiveMaxFileSize" with "MaxFileSize"
b) I copied the clamav-0.92/db directory to /clamav-0.95.1/db to be consistent with the value of the DatabaseDirectory parameter.
