    Default Ubuntu support

I nuked my last rpm based server some time ago, went through Gentoo and am currently using Ubuntu.

Zimbra sounds cool, but for my personal/family use building another server sounds nuts.

Anybody else tried this on Ubuntu, either Warty or Hoary?

I am going to try running alien against all the packages and then installing.

    Any known issues? Suggestions?

i've been trying to get cvs source code built and working on debian for a wile now. the source code builds and installs, albeit with some bodging, and everything starts up, but the admin and web interface both hang. anyone else got this running on debian?

do a search for debian, and you'll see someone here posted a complete instructions on how to get M1 i think it was running by converting rpms.

i've now got latest cvs version running on debian compiled from source. there is a little bodging required, if i can be of any help please shout.

Do you have any diffs you'd like to post that got debian working for you? We want to make this easier so if you've got some ideas please let us know.
Looking for new beta users -> Co-Founder of Acompli. Previously worked at Zimbra (and Yahoo! & VMware) since 2005.

i was going to wait until next week when i have some free time (holidays, yay!), then do a clean install of debian and post some diffs from that, my current version debian has been hacked around a fair bit.
